We are very sorry, but the Allotment Waiting List is closed to new applicants. We have a large number of applicants on our waiting list and this may take several years to work through. But please do check back to this page regularly to see if the list has reopened.

An allotment is a great way to get out in the fresh air, grow healthy fruit and vegetables and get to meet lots of local folk!

There are 70 plots on the site and vacancies generally become available around September or October at the end of the growing season and when the annual rent is due. But occasionally a plot can become vacant at other times, due to a plot holder giving up their plot for personal reasons.

The average size of the plot is 250 square meters (approximately 10m x 25m): this is about the national average. A well managed and cultivated plot of this size can supply you with a good range of fruit and vegetables throughout the year. The costs of a plot are detailed below.

For those without an allotment plot, but who help another member of the association, there is a Garden Membership level which is available for £5 per annum. This includes Public Liability Insurance, ue of the shop and access to the Association Equipment.
